Annual Report 2008

It is a great privilege to be such an integral part of a couple’s greatest moments. The trust people have placed in me to be with them in their monumental life events in both a professional and personalized way is a task I am honoured and humbled by.

As I continue my ministry with All Seasons Church , I continue to look for ways to improve the lives of others, in both the good and challenging moments, the monumental and in daily life.

In the past year, I have had the opportunity to live out my ministry in the following ways:

  • led musical worship every second Sunday as well as during special services for Christmas, Easter, Ash Wednesday and during memorial services
    conducted 1 funeral

  • visited individuals in hospital and provided support to families during recovery and rehabilitation

  • provided counseling for LGBT young people as they work through their coming out process

  • instrumental in raising awareness and understanding for LGBT members in a local United Church

  • provided informal counseling to individuals and couples struggling with various issues in relationships

  • began working with young people in raising awareness of global poverty, the environment and social justice issues.

  • helped these young people begin to take action and to see that they can make a difference with a single act.

  • officiated 10 weddings, met with 10 couples to plan weddings.

It has been a great joy to be part of All Seasons Church of Canada, to help others find a sense of connection and community, and to celebrate with them the joys and struggles of life. I look forward to further developing my ministry and finding new ways to build bridges and connections between people.
