ANNUAL REPORT - ALL SEASONS CHURCH of CANADA
January – December 2008
The year 2008 has been an extremely busy and rewarding year in the Ministry for this pastor. It seems as the years progress, the Ministry becomes more active in touching people's lives in ways that I could never imagine.
The ministerial work at our hospital in the Palliative Care Unit has been extended through the opening of our local Hospice, which opened its doors, midsummer of this year. It has been a blessing to me to be able to minister at this beautiful facility and to liaison with a staff that are filled with compassion for the terminally ill.
The
following list of activity in Ministry demonstrates the out reach
that we have in this community and surrounding district.
- Led worship services 16 times during the year at different Churches as Pastoral Supply
- Presided over 15 Funerals and Committals
- Conducted 3 Baptisms
- Officiated at 33 Weddings within Sault Ste. Marie and the District of Algoma. Some of which were in the most picturesque places you could possibly imagine
- Serve as a volunteer at the local hospital (Palliative and Oncology Depts.) two days/week and “on call” as needed
- Conduct Bereavement Groups for adults as spiritual leader.
- Involved in Marriage and/or Family Counseling upon request
- Lead Bible Study group in Dr. David Jeremiah’s “Captured by Grace” series
- Visited 37 patients at the our local hospital and nursing homes through 2008
The Ministry that I experience in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding district would not be possible without the encouragement and guidance of All Seasons Church of Canada. I find fulfillment in the ministerial work that I have the privilege to work within.
I believe that people benefit from a pastoral one-on-one basis and that small groups are really more successful when grief and brokenness are at the forefront of people’s lives. Many people are blessed and touched by All Seasons simply because All Seasons Ministry desires to extend an out reach of compassion to those in need.
The Lord never promised us an easy road, but He did assure us that the rewards would be great and I truly believe they will be.
In Christ’s Name,
