RE:    2008 Annual Report for All Seasons Church of Canada

DATE: March 7, 2009

The following is a summary of my ministry with All Seasons Church of Canada during 2008.

Worship Meetings

Led Worship services every second Sunday, and a number of days during the week within the pastoral area for people who are not members of a traditional congregation, for people who chose not to attend formal church services, and for those on shift work; plus preparation time of reading, study, research and writing.

Sacraments

Conducted close to 30 funerals within Pastoral Area upon recommendation by local Funeral Directors for those who were not members of an established congregation, including time spent meeting with the families in the days before the service, assisting with the Order of Service, presenting the Remembrance Service, and offering grief counseling in the days and weeks following Internment.

Performed 4 infant Baptism/Christening services for those choosing a more personal setting, both in a denominational and non-denominational spirit.

Officiated at approximately 60 weddings in Pastoral Area for those who chose to marry in locations other than a traditional church

Pastoral Care

Regular hospital visitation in 2 Mississauga area hospitals

Visited seniors/shut-ins in the pastoral charge on a regular basis, and provided liaison with social services and other services within the region of Peel.

Also conducted home visitations and telephone ministry.

With the elderly and infirm, comforted them with a ministry of scripture, prayer and the sacrament, which is very important to them.

Grief Counselling

Was offered an opportunity to work in a local clinic with 8 psychotherapists, and am offering grief counselling to the occasional clients they refer to me.

Non-Denominational Chaplaincy

Regularly meet and speak with police and fire dept. members who although not religious, are non-denominationally spiritual in their approach, for non-judgmental fellowship and emotional support.

Ministry Statement

All Seasons Church of Canada has allowed me to reach out to many, many individuals and couples who have become disillusioned with organized religion. It has been a privilege, not only to be of pastoral service, but also to be connected to a network of individuals who have seen the need for an alternative religious worship services.

It has been a blessing to serve and help people in their faith journey, who would not have come to a traditional church denominational setting.

Sincerely,

Timothy Jones (Rev.)
