ANNUAL REPORT FOR ALL SEASONS CHURCH OF CANADA 2008

Attention: Rev. K.D. McKibbon

The following is a summary of my ministry with All Seasons Church of Canada.

SERVICES

  • Led services and preached at over 20 events in the pastoral district, which involved the preparations of reading, study, research and writing.

RITES

  • Officiated at 3 weddings

  • Conducted 2 Winter Solstice services

  • Performed 4 land & house purification rites

  • Performed 2 Infant naming rites

  • Performed 3 meditative Tea ceremonies

Many of these rites were done for people who had been able to connect with their spirituality through a regular church environment. Through the ministry of All Seasons Church, I was able to provide for them pastoral support, counselling and spiritual guidance. All of these services took place outside the normal four walls of any church building.

PASTORAL CARE

  • Enrolled in the Spiritual & Religious Care Visitors Training at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health; received accreditation on October 22, 2008

  • Active pastoral care visitor at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health.

CONFERENCES

  • Invited to speak and facilitate workshops at 6 conferences & festivals

  • Attended the 2008 Annual Church & Charity Law Seminar - November 6, 2008

  • Started the GTA Clergy Meetup on October 9, 2008; for clergy of All Seasons Church of Canada stationed in and around the Greater Toronto Area, to network and provide an infrastructure of mutual support, in addition to what we receive from All Seasons Church of Canada.

In these opportunities, the ministry of Wayfarer-ship, through education, spiritual action and awareness is very important.

It has been a good thing to serve and help people in their faith journey, who would not have come to a traditional church denominational setting.

I believe we, as clergy, are summoned through our Faith, to go to where people are, not to wait for them to come to us. “Break a piece of wood and you will find Faith there. Crack the quarry rock, it is there also. Faith does not merely reside within constructs of brick & mortar, it is everywhere and all-around us.” All Seasons Church has provided the opportunity for this ministry.

It is truly amazing how Life opens each of us to the interconnectedness of being through Faith, Awareness & Compassion. My own spiritual journey and faith continues to deepen and be enriched by my ministry through All Seasons Church of Canada. I look forward to continuing this ministry in 2009.

Sincerely,

Rev. John H. Huculiak
