Durham Pastoral Charge

Annual Report to All Seasons Church of Canada 2008

I have been an affiliate of All Seasons Church since February 2007.

I led worship services and preached at churches within the area. This involved preparations including research, study and writing.

I filled pulpits during vacancies and vacations, approximately once or twice per month throughout the year.

I offered pastoral care to several families in our church area. This included home visitations and telephone ministry.

I administered a benevolent fund for the area church, to give financial assistance to families in need.

I participated in two Bible study groups. One was entitled “When the Game is Over, it All Goes Back in the Box. It challenged us to examine our reactions and motives in life. The other one was “If You Want to Walk on the Water, You have to Get Out of the Boat”. This was a stimulator to take a chance for God.

My pastoral care and outreach includes officiating at 12 weddings, for couples with no ties to a mainline church in the area. I attended at 10 planning meetings prior to the marriage ceremonies as well as one rehearsal.

The weddings that I officiated at varied from small, intimate occasions to large, elaborate affairs. One stands out as particularly poignant; the groom was to be shipped out for a tour of duty in Afghanistan three weeks after the marriage.

Serving with All Seasons Church has proved to be a fulfilling experience, providing opportunity to help people on their journey through life.

Regards,

Rev Donna Clark
