Pilgrim Church of the Firstborn
All Season Church of Canada – Annual Report 2008
Rev Gene Archer - Etobicoke
First I must say that it gives me great
pleasure and honour to be in ministry with All Seasons Church of
Canada. Truly I have been blessed to be associated with them.
The name and place of my ministry is:
Pilgrim Church of the Firstborn located in Etobicoke, Toronto,
Ontario.
My name is: Gene Archer and I have a B.Th. and I am an M. Div. candidate and I am also doing non credit studies in a PhD. program.
I am the senior pastor of the above
named church, where I carry the main preaching/teaching ministry
Sunday by Sunday and all the paraphernalia of the ministry there.
I do hospital visits at Trillium and Credit Valley Hospitals and do also nursing home visits in Burlington, Ontario.
I did two funerals in 2008 and
about 33 or so weddings in the same period.
I have read mainly theological book
with much emphasis on Christology from the Scottish Reform tradition.
I have taken training course in the
area of Conflict management and other relationally focused courses in
2008.
I have an ongoing counselling activity pertinent to my congregations needs.
I give pastoral care mainly
through visitation and the teaching of the word of God.
What stood out in 2008 in my ministry
was mainly the places and varieties of people and situations that All
Seasons Church of Canada have allowed me to be.
All Seasons Church of Canada has truly
opened up a fresh and challenging sphere of ministry in honing and
utilizing my expertise in serving people. More people need to know
about this organization. They are very professional and definitively
marked with honesty and integrity.
